What about SMARTY customers roaming outside the EU?

If you're travelling outside the EU, you'll need to purchase one of SMARTY's “Out of plan” add-ons and then pay as you go. In this case, you'll only pay for what you use as you can put whatever you don't use towards your next month.

Setting up roaming on SMARTY

Before you travel for the first time with SMARTY, you'll need to update one of your settings in order for roaming to work.

On an iPhone you'll need to do the following steps:

  • Go to ‘Settings’
  • Tap ‘Mobile Data’
  • Open ‘Mobile Data Network’
  • Change the Mobile Data and MMS APN to: mob.asm.net

And for Android phone you'll need to do this:

  • Go to ‘Settings’
  • Tap ‘More
’ under ‘Wireless & Networks’ or 'Connections'
  • Open ‘Mobile Network’
  • Open ‘Access Point Names’ - If you don’t have any access point you’ll need to create a new one and skip to step number 7.
  • Open ‘3’
  • Open ‘Edit Access Point’
  • Change the APN to: mob.asm.net

You'll also need to set up your "Out of plan" add-ons within your SMARTY account before you leave if you're travelling outside the EU.
