How our site works
Uswitch services are provided at no cost to you, but we may receive a commission from the companies we refer you to. This helps to keep our site free for you to use. Sometimes we have commercial agreements with providers to highlight deals that we think are worth your consideration. These deals are labelled 'sponsored'.
Exclusive deals are only available through RVU brands.
Note: 'One Touch Switch', the new process that simplifies switching your broadband provider, does not apply to TV packages. You still need to cancel your old provider's TV contract if you switch to a new service.
Our featured TV and broadband deal
We’ve picked a TV and broadband bundle from EE, our ‘Best Telecoms Bundle Provider’ award winner from the 2026 Uswitch Telecoms Awards.
EE won this annual award for its combination of excellent broadband connectivity and innovative EE TV Box Pro, which brings recordable TV set-top boxes into the modern era. It also offers a more streaming-focused Box Edge which helps you collate many of your streaming subscriptions into one easy interface.
Our chosen deal is the EE Full Fibre 500 & Entertainment Plus + Netflix bundle. In addition to the standard entertainment offering found on most TV packages, it includes Sky Atlantic, HBO Max and Netflix too, meaning you can watch some of TV’s most popular and acclaimed shows all for a single monthly fee.
What is a broadband and TV bundle?
A broadband and TV bundle is a single package that combines both services into one monthly payment. They’re mostly offered by larger TV & broadband providers like Sky, Virgin Media, BT and EE, but smaller broadband providers can also supply them through streaming boxes like Apple TV+.
As these deals are bundle offers, the price you pay for them is usually lower than the total amount you’d be charged if you had different providers for each service. Many also let you access streaming services like Netflix and Disney Plus as part of the bundle, which means you don’t have to pay for those subscriptions separately, either.

Should I get a broadband and TV deal?
Here are some of the reasons why a broadband and TV deal could benefit you:
It could save you money by letting you bundle multiple services together under one monthly bill.
If you regularly pay individually for premium channel packs like Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, or TNT Sports, you could save a lot of money by choosing the provider that offers it.
Many bundles now include access to streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney Plus. So you could add those costs to the overall bundle package too.
Combining your broadband and TV services makes managing your household bills and monthly subscriptions easier.
Some of the best internet and TV providers offer gift vouchers, discounts and bill credit for signing up as a new customer.
What to consider when choosing a broadband and TV bundle
There can be a lot of variety in broadband and TV packages. When you compare options, you'll likely have a wide range of broadband speeds and TV channels to choose from, so it’s best to have a good idea of what package you’ll need beforehand.
1. TV channels or services
Usually, the more TV channel add-ons you choose, the more expensive your bill will be. Standard entertainment-only packages are usually the cheapest option, and some also include streaming services.
However, if you want to watch content from premium packages like Sky Sports, TNT Sports or Sky Cinema, the cost can quickly go up.
2. Broadband speed
Similarly, the faster internet speed you choose, the higher your price point could be. But this isn’t guaranteed – some providers offer surprisingly low price points for some of their fastest deals.
So you could still benefit from a high-speed connection without breaking the bank; it just depends on which providers are available at your home. Find out which broadband speed suits you.
3. Extra services
Do you still use your landline? Do you use Wi-Fi boosters at home? These are some of the questions to consider when signing up for a new broadband contract, as providers will offer these services after you’ve chosen one of their deals.
They’ll come with extra charges, but if you know you need these it’s worth factoring them into your budget.

Can I get a broadband and TV deal without a phone line?
New TV packages no longer require a landline to work. Providers like Sky, Virgin and EE have moved on to selling 'streaming' products that use your Wi-Fi connection instead.
Sky Q satellite TV used to require an active landline, and Virgin's legacy TV product worked through its cable network. However, Wi-Fi-based TV packages are now the norm:
Sky
Sky TV services are now available through Wi-Fi thanks to its streaming box Sky Stream and streaming TV Sky Glass.
It has now stopped selling satellite TV services to new customers and (eventually) moving existing satellite customers onto its Wi-Fi TV connections.
Virgin Media
Virgin Media also has its own 'Virgin TV Stream' service that operates in the same way as the Sky Stream puck.
Similarly to Sky, it used to offer TV via its own cable network, but now prioritises its streaming-based product.
EE TV
You guessed it – EE TV works the same way, too.
You can now get access to premium Sky and BT TV content through its own streaming box. And like Sky and Virgin, you can tie this package in with a broadband deal, too.
BT TV
After relying on its sister company EE to provide TV services for the last year, BT recently launched its own streaming TV service via the Box Pro and the Box Edge.
It offers a similar set of entertainment options to Sky, Virgin Media and EE as well as the option to add premium channels.
"Premium TV packages from providers like Sky will offer you all the channels a TV fan could want, including high-quality exclusive add-ons like Sky Sports and Sky Cinema.
"But if you're more of a streamer and don't need access to the latest blockbusters and pay-TV shows, you're probably better off with a broadband-only package in order to save money."
What are the different types of digital TV?
Streaming TV
Streaming TV is now the most common way for new customers to access TV services. It works through your Wi-Fi exactly like a streaming stick or Smart TV does, and you don’t need a satellite dish or physical cable for it to work.
Cable TV
Cable TV is provided through a mix of underground internet cables. In the UK, it’s only serviced by Virgin Media, but even Virgin prioritises its streaming TV product.

Satellite TV
Satellite TV works via a satellite dish attached to your property. Sky is the best-known satellite TV provider, but it no longer offers new satellite TV deals.
Read our in-depth Sky TV and broadband review.
Streaming services
Standard streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus and Amazon Prime Video have quickly become some of the most common ways to watch TV shows and movies.
Sky, BT and Virgin Media all offer one or more streaming services as part of their TV deals.
IPTV
IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television. It's delivered via a broadband connection using the same cables as your home internet, rather than over radio waves like Freeview and analogue TV.
Freeview
Launched in 2002, Freeview is the UK’s standard terrestrial TV platform, replacing analogue television with improved digital services. It gives you access to over 100 TV channels, 15 of which are HD.

Broadband and TV deals FAQs
Is it cheaper to bundle TV and internet?
If you pay to watch a lot of TV, movies or sports, combining your TV services with a broadband connection from the same provider can be a great way to save money.
A broadband and TV bundle could give you cheaper deals overall than if you were paying separate bills to different providers.
Can I get fibre broadband and TV deals?
Fibre broadband and pay-TV go hand-in-hand, because they're often supplied by the same providers. While only the biggest broadband providers offer built-in TV services, almost all can supply fibre broadband connections to your home.
If you want both, our TV & broadband deals offer a wide range of providers, depending on which service is right for you.
How are broadband and TV bundles installed?
Nowadays, TV deals are available via a streaming TV box, such as Sky Stream, Virgin Flex or the EE Box Edge. These Wi-Fi-connected devices only need to be plugged into your TV and connected to your broadband to work, and they offer the same services as older models.
Installing satellite TV from Sky used to require an engineer to first visit your home, install the required dish or cabling, and connect it to a receiver hooked up to your TV. But this type of service is no longer available to new customers.
Can I get streaming services through my TV bundle?
Yes – TV providers have introduced a simpler and easier way to bundle additional streaming services to their already comprehensive TV listings, including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus.
This is also the case if you have an existing streaming service account and you select a TV package that includes a streaming service. All you need to do is sign in to your account on your pay TV box, and the billing should transfer to your TV provider.
Can extra channels be added to a TV and broadband package?
When paying for TV service, you should have the option to add on some add-ons for a rolling monthly fee, depending on your provider.
Some packages offer the option to add a streaming service to your monthly subscription fee. And if you're with other TV providers like Virgin Media or Sky, these add-ons include the above, plus you can choose from HBO Max (which includes TNT Sports), Sky Sports or Sky Cinema.
